You can obtain you tourist visa online on the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system. An intended traveler planning a holiday visit needs to apply and obtain a visa also now known as an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) prior to arrival in Sri Lanka. This is an online authorization that provides travelers a 30 day tourist visa to Sri Lanka.
Submit the application online at - https://eta.gov.lk/slvisa/ . You will then receive an acknowledgement by email. An ETA holder is entitled to enter Sri Lanka within three months from the date of issue of ETA. All ETA applicants should possess a passport valid for not less than 6 months from the date of arrival.
Steps to be followed:
Online applications may take about three to four working days to process the visa.
Please keep in mind that application once submitted are NON- REFUNDABLE.
In the event of ETA being rejected, the system will send a referral notification to the applicant and he/she needs to contact the nearest Sri Lanka Overseas Mission for necessary assistance.

It is advisable to keep a copy of the ETA approval with you to be produced at the port of entry in Sri Lanka.
