Gal Oya National Park

A major eco-tourism venue, Gal Oya national park is 314 km from Colombo, in the south eastern area of Sri Lanka. It is recorded that 32 species of mammals inhabit this park. Some of them are; Sri Lankan elephant, Sri Lankan Axis Deer, Muntjac, Water Buffalo, Sri Lankan Sambar Deer, Sri Lankan Leopard Toque Monkey and Wild Boar. The famous “Bird Island” swarming with birds is a main attraction.
